It's made of KOKUZO YUZU grown in Ishikawa prefecture in Japan.

It takes a lot of work to grow yuzu.

It is often said, "It takes a peach and a chestnut three years to begin to yield fruit, and it takes a persimmon eight years to yield fruit. For yuzu, it takes eighteen years to yield fruit." 

Besides, yuzu has a bad harvest every other year. 

To grow KOKUZO YUZU, they don't use any herbicide. They trim weeds.

KOKUZO YUZU is incredibly fragrant.

Yuzu can be used in both sweet and savory contexts. It goes with fish, meat, hot pot, udon noodles, sorbet ice cream, cocktails, ginger tea, etc.
